Campaign brief

Create a powerful fundraising strategy that would capture the hearts and minds of both individuals and corporates to drive donations. Create a campaign that would raise funds quickly and enable the charity’s support programmes to continue.

Help a life take flight

Orchid’s development of our Help a Life Take Flight campaign has played a major role in helping us transform how we communicate with our supporters. We love working with the team. It’s always a great experience.

Our solution

The Jersey Child Care Trust provides critical access to early years education for children living with disabilities and/or disadvantage. 80% of your brain develops before you are three and this is where the foundations of a child’s future are made. This is when they learn to fly. This fact was the cornerstone of our proposed strategy. Educating donors about the impact they would have on disabled and disadvantaged local children, and how they would literally be helping a life take flight, became our focus to drive significant donations quickly.

Having developed the ‘Help a life take flight’ campaign identity, we produced fundraising assets that would help educate, inspire and prompt action.

These included a fundraising pack folder with case study, charity overview and vision, and corporate sponsorship opportunities inserts. A pledge card was included prompting someone to provide their details for 1-1 follow ups. For fundraising events, a paper plane making kit was created with the planes incorporating the stories of three different children – in making the plane you were literally helping that child take flight. Stickers and case study drink mats were created for use at JCCT Cream Teas and other events.
