Whilst borders remained closed the Jersey hospitality industry was in crisis. We had to inspire Islanders to use this time to #rediscoverhome, share their experiences online to keep awareness of Jersey high and, in turn, support one of our oldest and most valued industries.
with 7,000+ unique visits to the site during the three week campaign
Using the first day of summer as the trigger, the campaign launched inviting Islanders to #rediscoverhome and do something they’ve never done before in Jersey. Planned to inform, inspire and prompt sharing, it was a rallying call. The start of a longer-term strategy to build an army of passionate and vocal local ambassadors. The campaign was sensitive to confidence levels, suggesting activities you could do at home or if you were willing to spend more time outside as lockdown eased. A Rediscover Home hub was created, showcasing the myriad unique and wonderful experiences Islanders could enjoy, coupled with links to partner lockdown products and services. An all island door-drop built awareness quickly, coupled with print, radio and digital advertising, PR and social media takeovers by well-known Islanders.
